ReporterI am standing in a large new sports hall in Ankara. There are many young gymnasts around me, but not all of them perform the same. I've just witnessed a performance on uneven bars by only 10-year-old but very talented Ayse Mehmet. She is only at the beginning of her career only, yet her prospects seem bright. I am asking her coach Hüseyin Osman. Can you tell us what makes her different?
CoachYes, the three giants and a double-back at the end is something you can hardly expect of a girl her age, she is doing much better than most children I have seen training here.
ReporterSo which elements and tumbling lines can we see in the routines of other girls in her age.
CoachWell, quite common are various springs, twists or tucks.
ReporterHow much time does little Ayse spend in the gym?
CoachThe training is demanding, she is here daily from three to five p.m., and she often comes on the weekends too.
ReporterDo the other children invest equal effort to their training?
CoachThat is individual. There are children here who put a lot of effort to their exercise too, but not all are as talented as Ayse.
ReporterWhat can we expect to see as she grows from the judge's point of view?
CoachWe will probably see a lot more twists and a lot more flips. And probably also longer routines. But of course that depends very much on her personal effort and fitness....
